FFLA WESTERN CONFERENCE
A Celebration to Honor Wildland Fire Fighters

The Western Region Conference will beheld in Flagstaff, Arizona, on June 1-3 at the City Hall Chambers, 211 W. Aspen.

The big even will "celebrate wildfire fighting" and highlight the Lookouts, Hot Shots and other related staffs. The goal is to put on display the various equipment used to fight fire. A large parking lot will hold displays of equipment from several agencies in Arizona. Normal indoor displays will be set up in the City Hall hallways. The conference will be organized to present true lookout topics for Friday and those that are more generic on Saturday. .

Registration and display set-up will take place starting at 8:00 am on Friday, June 1. At 8:30, host Director Dave Lorenz will then kick off the day's program, scheduled to end by 5:00. The Board of Directors Meeting (open to all) will take place Friday evening, after dinner.

At 8:00 am on Saturday, registration and set-up for the day's events will begin, followed by orientation for the day and presentations beginning at 9:00. Most of Saturday will be for forest restoration programs, awards ceremonies, and displays. The afternoon will feature a public event displaying fire fighting vehicles and equipment.
The Conference Banquet will follow the 5:30 social hour. An evening program and the now-traditional auction will follow the banquet.

Sunday will be dedicated to tours, with options available for either hikes or drives to lookouts. Tours of the Hall of Flame Museum in Phoenix will be available for anyone going that direction.

Potential presentations for the conference include:
