Using a 1935 and a 1941 fire map as a guide, a new fire tower map was made showing the locations of all the towers of that era. The smaller compass roses indicate the location of fire towers of 1941. Only four towers stand today. The new map hangs in the Chippewa National Forest Supervisors office in Cass Lake, Minnesota. The office is a three story log building built around 1933. |
