Notes

  • This is currently an active state tower
  • In 1936, the state purchased 50 acres on this site
  • A 60 FT Aermotor tower was then erected by the boys of the Brimfield CCC camp.
  • The tower was purchased with ECW funds
  • This tower was orginally planned to be erected on Mount Marcy in Wilbraham
  • The tower was purchased in 1934 and was stored for 2 years until it was build on this site
  • In 1947, a power line was built
  • In 1950, two-way radios were installed
  • In 1961, a new road was built to the site
  • In 1966, a chain link fence was built
  • In 1967, a 10 x 10 FT cab was built
  • In 2002, a new cab was built
