Notes

  • This is currently an active state tower
  • In 1951, the old Foxboro tower was erected on the Northern Peak of Snow Hill
  • In 1958, the Snow hill land is sold and the new owner wants the tower removed
  • In 1959 one acre of Land is bought on top of Pegan Hill on the Dover / Natick town lines and plans are made to move the tower to it
  • At that time, a group of local Dover land owners buy the Snow Hill land and donates it to the town as
    conservation land
  • In 1964, a new 10 x 10 cab is installed
  • In 1984, the cab is struck by lightning and the can is destroyed
  • In 1985, a new 10 x 10 FT cab is built
  • In 1990, all new stairs and landings are built
