| The FFLA engages on many projects each year including Restorations, Grants for Restorations, and other projects related to the research and restoration of former forest fire lookout sites, ground cabins and other forest fire related items. The organization encourages efforts of public groups and others in the restoration of forest fire lookouts. Some lookout projects are undertaken by chapters of the organization itself. |

Slaughter, lookout at Whitehawk Lookout on the Boise NF in Idaho is interested
in participating in lookout restoration projects outside of his late June to early
October lookout season. He is a retiree, and on a very flexible schedule. He has
experience in historically correct restoration, tending to be somewhat of a perfectionist.
He also has tools available. Slaughter is interested in projects anywhere in the
west, and in meeting others with historical restoration experience. |
