EASTERN REGIONAL CONFERENCE

Southern New England FFLA Chapter Director Henry Isenberg has just announced the final selection of the dates and location for this summer's Eastern Regional FFLA Conference. The conference will be held at the Kenneth Dubuque Memorial State Forest on Route 8A, near West Hawley, Massachusetts. The conference will run from Friday evening, August 21st through Sunday August 23rd. The rustic conference site is in a very rural area of the Berkshire Mountains in the westen part of the state, northeast of Pittsfield. A limited number of campsites will be available at the site, however there are numerous campgrounds and motels within 45 minutes driving time. Route 8A lies to the west of interstate 91, and connects with route 2 (Mowhawk Trail) and Route 9 (Berkshire Trail). Contact Henry at (508) 883-0834, email at: ffla@juno.com, or by mail at P.O. The FFLA will help the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management (Massachusetts Fire Control) celebrate its 100th anniversary at the conference; a significant portion of the program is expected to be dedicated toward that.
