MEMBERSHIP: The chapter membership is 41, with 11 of those being Plus Members. 2004 MEETINGS: Chap. Director Keith Argow attended the National Board meeting in Penna. (January), as well as the Eastern Summer meeting in Maryland (August) and the Western Summer meeting in California (September). HOSTING: The Chapter will host the 2005 National Board meeting in Roanoke Va. on January 14, with a tour of western Virginia lookouts on Jan. 15. RESTORATIONS: There are two lookout restorations on-going in 2004. One in Louisiana and one in Mississippi. The chapter also inspected two aermotor towers with metal 7'x7' cabs in Florida that were blown down by hurricanes this fall. An agreement has been completed with the Florida Div. of Forestry to salvage as much of the two fire towers as possible for use on restoration of other towers. CHAPTER DEVELOPMENT: Great progress was made in 2004 in sponsoring the development of new FFLA chapters in the southeast and eastern states. Five new "Area Representatives" were appointed to service as a focus for fire lookout issues within their states and to promote membership in FFLA. As the number of members grows in each state, and leaders agree to serve, each could become a new chapter. The new reps are: GA: Don Shedd; MS: M.T. Parker; MO: Jim Lyon; OH: Andy Penfield, and WV: Ralph Glover. Additional Area Representatives are being sought. PLAN OF WORK FOR 2005; Respectfully submitted: Keith
