This past year there has been a relatively quiet year here in the Green Mountain State. Okemo Mountain in Ludlow has a new roof on it's Cab, I have not Hiked up there to check it out but will do so in the spring.

A new Cabin is proposed for 2005 to be erected on Bald Mountain in Westmore (the tower was restored in 2002).

The Green Mountain Club (GMC) Northeast Section has been interested in restoring the Monadnock Mountain Tower in Lemington, Mark and I have had initial contact with them and will be following up on this proposal.

The BIG news for 2005 is the slated Restoration of the Glastenbury Tower which is located Deep in the Green Mountain Forest along the Appalachian Trail. Last year Mark and I met with officials from the National Forest and Green Mountain Club, this Meeting included an inspection tour of the Glastenbury Tower with lots of input from everyone involved in this proposed project. I will keep you posted as developments take place.
