Membership: The division membership is 29, down from 41 last year. However, 10 were spun off into the new Virginia Division, leaving 31. The comparison should be 29/31, a decrease of 2. 2005 Meetings: SEUS Division Director Keith Argow and the Virginia Division hosted the National Board meeting in Roanoke, VA (January). Argow also attended the 2005 Summer meeting in Rhode Island (August) and the Western Summer meeting in Idaho (September). Division Development: Good progress was made in 2005 in sponsoring the development of new FFLA State Divisions in the southeast and eastern states. One more "Area Representative" (Alabama) was appointed to service as a focus for fire lookoutissues within their states and to promote membership in FFLA. As membership numbers grow in each state, and leaders agree to serve, several should become a new State Division. Current reps are: GA: Don Shedd; MS: M.T. Parker; MO: Jim Lyon; OH: Andy Penfield, and WV: Ralph Glover. Maria Schielt now represents Alabama. Florida, Texas and Ohio are close to gaining voting Division status. Accomplishment of Work Goals set for 2005: -Grow
membership by 15%. Goal was 6 members, we lost a net of 4 and recruited 2. Plan of Work for 2006: -Establish
two new voting State Divisions Respectfully submitted: Keith Argow, SEUS Division Director, 11 January 2006
