Chapter finances remained steady, with an ending balance of $3733.47, up some one hundred fifty dollars from the start of the year (see Treasurers Report for details).

ACTIVITIES:
Southern Idaho was split off to become a separate chapter in 2004, with the USFS Region One/Region Four boundary being used as the chapter boundary.

The chapter was involved in the continued restoration of Square Mountain Lookout on the NezPerce NF. Restoration activities have slowed somewhat over the past year, in part due to engineering and safety concerns that must be addressed prior to project implementation.

Several projects are planned for 2005, many with FFLA support. Continued efforts are planned at Monument Peak (Lewis & Clark NF, MT) and Boulder Point (Bitterroot NF, MT). The Kootenai NF (MT) is planning restoration work on Barren Peak Lookout and has funding to once again tackle Seven Point Lookout. Restoration activities continue on White Mountain Lookout (Lolo NF, MT).

The chapter has become involved in the "Lookout Cookbook" project, helping to get the book to the publishing stage after it was prematurely advertised over a year ago.
