Report

1. Started researching and writing detailed histories of the fire lookouts in New Mexico.
2. Researched platform and tree fire lookouts, plus those constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corp.
3. Helped write a safety plan for the lookouts on the Mountainair district for fire lookouts trapped during a wildfire.
4. Encouraged lookouts on the Cibola NF to look at their evacuation and safety plans.

 Goals

1. Continue researching the history of fire lookouts in New Mexico.
2. Confirm additional lookout sites.
3. Make sure all fire lookouts in New Mexico are safe during a wildfire and have an evacuation plan.
4. Work harder on membership.
