Things have continued to move forward last year in the eastern half of the FFLA.

The eastern regional conference was hosted by the New Jersey Chapter at Division A headquarters in Andover, NJ. Our numbers were small but committed to having a good time between the meetings, gatherings, and tower tours.

We welcomed 2 new Directors in 2006 -

Steve Klan - Ohio
Bill Cobb - Maine

In addition, Ed Walsh, former Maine director is now the new director of the newly formed Southern Maine Chapter.

I was able to accompany Bill Cobb, Maine Director during the salvage of some portions of the recently removed Harris Mountain Lookout up in Maine. We were able to deliver the remains to Steve Cummings at the Pennsylvania Forest Fire Museum.

We continued research across the region in 2006 as well as getting FFLA brochures to various fire agencies in the New England area.
