Owl Mountain Lookout was a twin to Badger Lookout in Pike NF, and was in service during the same time period. A ground-level trailer functioned as living quarters. Concrete supports can still be found on the wooded summit. The lookout sits on the west summit; the east summit is a half mile away and 13 feet higher.
