| 8:30 AM Start Time For the first time ever, the annual FFLA Board of Directors Meeting will be held on the west coast. The World Forestry Center's Magness Tree Farm, a half-hour south of Portland, will be the site for the session. While winter lookout touring will be limited, the on-site Clatskanie tower will be visited. The WFC is looking for recommendations from the FFLA on restoration options for the lookout. A Sunday tour of the Tillamook Forest Center and its new lookout tower is also planned. Located just 20 miles south of Portland near Wilsonville, Magness Memorial Tree Farm is now an internationally recognized demonstration forest and outdoor education site enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. This beautiful 80 acre property has a large natural area, small stream, nine comparative forest management zones, 2.5 miles of hiking trails, the historic Clatskanie fire tower, recreation field, small picnic shelter, and rustic log cabins for youth group overnight camping, outdoor schools, and retreats. To get there, take I-5 to exit 283 (Wilsonville). Turn west on Wilsonville Road. Drive four miles to Edminston Road. Turn right on Edminston Road and travel 1.3 miles to SW Ladd Hill Road.
